Role in HANDSON Project
Teresa Guasch is director of the Education Psychology Degree at the Open University of Catalonia. She lectures in the PhD program on the Information and Knowledge society (seminar of research on e-learning), and also in the International Masters on e-learning –in particular on the subject Planning training teaching processes with Information and Communication Technologies.
She has a PhD in Psychology, from the Ramon Llull University, Barcelona (2003), mention of European PhD. Her dissertation focused on teaching and learning strategies. She has a degree in Psychopedagogy, Ramon Llull University (1996), Postgraduate in Curricular guidance in the field of learning and teaching strategies (Ramon Llull University; Autonomous University of Barcelona; Open University of Catalonia, 1998), and Postgraduate in Specialist in the Psychopedagogical treatment of school diversity (Autonomous University of Barcelona,1997).
She has also participated with a number of departments of foreign universities: University of Leeds (UK), University of Nebraska and University of Kentucky (USA), and University of Helsinki (Finland).
Her main research area is the processes of teaching and learning in virtual environments. She is member of the research group EDUS (Distance Education in universities and schools).
At present, she is coordinating the eLene-tt project (e-Learning network for Teacher Training) at UOC, which focus on teacher training and how to incorporate ICT in teaching & learning process in Higher Education: http://www.eLene-TT.net.
