Role in HANDSON Project
Muriel Garreta Domingo is the director of the Services for Learning department of the UOC. She was previously a Senior Product Manager and User Experience Analyst at the Office of Learning Technologies at the same University. She holds a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon (USA), a multilinguism and ICT post-graduate
degree from Université Charles de Gaulle – Lille 3 (France) and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). She speaks Catalan, Spanish, French, English and Italian.
As the Learning Services Director, she works closely with teachers and end-users and leads the learning tools development with a holistic and user-centered design approach. Her team is formed by computer
scientists, psychologists, pedagogy experts, graphic designers and usability and accessibility experts. The team’s mission is to enhance teaching and learning experiences both by meeting the needs’ of teachers and students but also by pushing innovation in new realms.
