The European project “ICT Hands-On : Learn, practice, teach creativity and ICT” ( http://handsonict.eu/ ) is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme and aimed to accompany teachers in acquiring skills on ICT tools for teaching and learning experiences.
This project, led by the UOC (Open Universtiy of Catalonia), began in January 2013 and will end in April 2015. It follows the User Centered Design methodology and consists of three pilots involving teachers in Higher Education, VET and Secondary School.
On May 19 starts the second pilot. This 5 weeks course (MOOC) follows the philosophy of Learning Design Studio (LDS, estimated between 2-6 hours per week) . The LDS is a framework for designing learning activities following a process of thinking about end users , design, prototype, evaluate and improve .
Yishay Mor, LDS expert and independent consultant (learning; design; technology; research) will be the lead facilitator. He also has several publications on this subject academically and led the MOOC Design for 21st Century Learning Curriculum ( http://www.olds.ac.uk/ ) .
We invite all lecturers and teachers who are interested in participating in the pilot !
It is an opportunity to learn a new methodology for creating courses and learning activities and be part of a group of more than 100 teachers from various countries and backgrounds .
