Handson ICT participants from Greece will join the Open Discovery Space (ODS) community & participate in a contest!
The Greek participants of the Hands-on pilot 2 phase will have the opportunity to join the dedicated community created on Open Discovery Space (ODS) . Respective national communities will follow during the pilot phase 3.
The ODS is a portal in which teachers from 27 European countries can find innovative material, exchange best practices and share their experiences. The purpose of this portal is to enable the communication and networking among the change-agent teachers and to create an empowering environment that will foster sustainable changes in schools. Specifically, teachers can join and create communities based on their interests. By being part of small groups, teachers can collaborate with each other, use resources and adapt them to their own settings.
The Hands-on ICT team in an effort to enhance the effectiveness of this training course decided to set up a Greek community with the participants from Greece on the ODS portal. In this way, the Greek participants will learn about the use of another tool.
Moreover, the Research and Development Department of Elligermaniki Agogi School (EA) invited the Greek participants to upload the learning activities they designed during the pilot phase as educational scenarios on the ODS portal and participate in a contest. The winner will be distinguished participant of the ODS summer school in Athens, July 2014, with all expenses covered. More information here http://ods.ea.gr/ All participating teachers will receive a certificate of participation
