The HandsonICT project was presented in Prague to the project team for Getting European Business On-line. Project partners from UK, CZ, DE, ES. NL, BG, RO and a guest from DK heard about the work of the HandsonICT project and immediately saw some potential links that could contribute to the sustainability of both projects. Katerina Nevralova, the Czech lead partner for the GEBOL project said “It is really important to look for ways of increasing the impact of projects through cooperation. While the GEBOL project is coming to the end of its funding period, HandsonICT is in its first year. HandsonICT is about training teachers to be more creative supported by ICT and GEBOL is a specific example of creative practice related to vocational education.”
We have countries common to both projects and some countries countries specific to each. This provides the potential at the very least of sharing dissemination networks. Both projects have a secondary focus on Open Source technologies supporting learning and this gives further scope for sharing and making more effective use of resources.
