The corporate headquarters of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona, co-ordinator of the project welcomed the partners of the Consortia from England, Greece, Slovenia, The Netherlands and Spain. Double objective: jointly establish bases for the Project and to assure all partners shared the same interpretation of the goals of the HANDSON.
On Monday 21st, after the usual introductions and presentations from Muriel, Carles, Cristina, Katia, John, Denis, Peter, Katerina and Israel, the conversation was focused on ‘learning, teaching, creativity and ICT’. It was a really interesting brainstorming conversation with the tendencies and the resources about these four keywords. After lunch, Katerina and Peter presented Work Packages two and three: Comparative Study and User Needs’ Gathering, led by EA, and Pedagogical Modelling: Competences, activities and tools selection, led by OUNL
On Tuesday 22nd, Denis, Katia, John, and Christina presented the Work Packages they lead: Pilot Programme (WP5, EMUNI), Sustainability Plan and Community Building (WP6, MirandaNet), and Dissemination Strategy (WP7, MirandaNet). After lunch, WP1 was examined and we welcomed Bea Puyal and Pilar Mazón from the UOC who explained us some Financial Aspects.
We also had the opportunity to spend some time together. We went on an improvised two-hour walking express city-tour through the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona on Monday Evening: the Barcelona Cathedral, the Born Quarter, the ancient walls, and the Santa Maria del Mar Church, the sea, Colon, the Ramblas…
